Penn State Football Ticket Sales to Begin this Monday
Alright folks, it is the one time of year that truly rivals the gifts we receive during the holiday season. It is time for students to virtually get in line for Penn State Football season tickets, beginning this coming Monday, June 20 at 7 a.m.
Seniority plays a large factor when purchasing student tickets. Graduate students and seniors get their chance Monday, Juniors on Tuesday, Sophomores on Wednesday, and Freshmen… well, you guys got Friday. Sorry. Your turn will come one day!
Students should have received an information email from Go PSU Sports explaining the ticket process. It is not something to glance at as the clock ticks toward 7 a.m.! Be sure to read the instructions and prepare your computers and yourselves the night before so that you can remain as calm as possible the morning of the ticket sale.
Last year, in 2015, a total of 21,200 students secured season tickets for themselves, making it one of the most successful student ticket sales in the history of Penn State. The student section at Penn State is highly regarded as the best student section in the country due to its themed days (White Out, Stripe Out), traditions (S-Zone), and the overall passion, pride, and noise brought to the stadium. A famous moment for the Penn State student section was in 2014, when the student section was rumored to have been so loud that Ohio State had to call for a timeout on an OT play because they could not hear their quarterback’s play calls.
Penn State students have good reason to be extra hype this year. Penn State has some exciting games on the road and at home. On September 11, Penn State will face off against Pitt in Pittsburgh at Heinz Field for a noon game. This historic rivalry will be decided this weekend and is certainly a game you won’t want to miss. Secondly, Penn State sees the return of Temple and Ohio State to Beaver Stadium. These two games are sure to be 110k Strong and brimming with nervous tensions.
The first game of the season kicks off against Kent State at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, giving students and fans plenty of time to start the season right with some great tailgating.
So, students… get your computers ready, get your credit cards ready, and get ready to represent Nittany Nation! See you in just a couple of short months, Beaver Stadium!
